City of Chemnitz as contracting authority: Invitation to first procurement conference
Time and place: Thursday, 23 September, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m, Great Hall of the IHK Chemnitz, Straße der Nationen 25
On the initiative of the Economic Advisory Board appointed by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, the City of Chemnitz is hosting the first municipal procurement conference on Thursday, 23 September at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In future, the City of Chemnitz will inform regional companies in good time about upcoming and ongoing construction measures and contract award projects. Entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to find out about relevant tenders and, if necessary, prepare corresponding resources.
Heads of office or expert representatives from the Building Construction and Facility Management, Civil Engineering, Transport and Sewer Construction and Green Spaces departments are available as contacts. There is also the opportunity to discuss procurement practices with representatives from the Central Procurement Office.
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze: "There are a whole series of projects that will be realised in Chemnitz over the next few years. We would like to do this with local companies and thus make a significant contribution to promoting the regional economy."
In 2019, for example, municipal contracts had a volume of around 380 million euros.

Registration and corona regulations
The number of participants is limited to 50 people in the hall. However, interested parties can also participate digitally. Participants will receive the link after registration.
It is mandatory to wear a medical face mask at the event venue. According to the Corona Protection Ordinance of the Free State of Bavaria, participants with an incidence of 35 or more must present a vaccinated or recovered status or a negative corona test.
Registration is done by email to wirtschaft.digitalisierung(at)stadt-chemnitz.de. Due to the pandemic regulations, only one person per company is permitted.
Interested parties can already ask their questions when registering so that the contact persons can prepare for the event as well as possible.
