City library thanks 514,353 visitors
New offers for users
Last year, the city library, including all district libraries, welcomed 514,353 visitors. In the 150th year of the Chemnitz City Library's existence, the library would now like to take the opportunity to thank its users.
The following offers have been prepared for this purpose:
- In the period from 29 June to 6 July, you will receive a 20 percent discount on all new registrations and renewals of annual memberships.
- For the anniversary events with Paul Maar (Das Sams) and Max Gold, 5x2 free tickets will be awarded to the first 10 people who contact information@stadtbilbiothek-chemnitz.de with their favourite event. Closing date is Tuesday, 25 June 2019.
- The opening hours of the city library in the TIETZ will be extended from 1 September 2019, opening on Mondays from 9 am.
- From now on, it will be possible to use more media from the city library at the same time: Adults: up to 50 media, children: up to 30 media, families: up to 120 media.
- New video courses are now available in the e-learning portal on topics such as marketing, management, memory training, design and multimedia (all video courses are available in German and English),
- The "filmfriend" streaming service is being expanded. From 1 July 2019, all content will be available in three languages (German, English, French). A dedicated children's page for age-appropriate entertainment will be offered. The navigation has also been revised for better usability.
- From now on, the city library's digital service is no longer called ChemnetzBib, but Onleihe Chemnitz.
