Voland & Quist literary salon with Matthias Hirth and Benedikt Feiten
Matthias Hirth, "Lutra lutra": losing himself in fun and sex is the 32-year-old Fleck's programme. But he realises that he is too timid for that. What is his real strength? How does he achieve the charisma that makes him irresistible to every woman and every man? He comes to the conclusion that there is only one way for him to achieve complete self-determination and true attractiveness: to break all the rules of society ...
Benedikt Feiten , "Hubsi Dax": Guitar teacher Mark lives a harmonious life with his wife Ida and their daughter Maja in a flow of contented lack of ambition. He lurches through his everyday life full of missed appointments, burnt cakes, unplanned intoxication and failed plans. The fact that he hasn't been able to come up with his own songs for years no longer bothers him, and the fact that his neighbourhood is slowly gentrifying has been of little interest to him so far. But when the house he lives in is to make way for luxury flats, his defiance grows. In order to drive out the few remaining tenants who are unwilling to move, the owner comes up with more and more harassment. Mark decides to awaken the in-house spirit of resistance and confront the landlord.

Bettine Reichelt reads from her Chemnitz crime novel "Tendency rising"
In Chemnitz, it's pouring with rain, the rain never seems to stop and the river levels are rising by the hour. The first streets are already flooded. For butcher Moritz, it's the worst day for sales in weeks; he sees exactly four people at his market cart that day. But he only remembers Katja, the most beautiful woman he has met in a long time and about whom he would like to know more - especially when he sees her picture in the newspaper: Even in death, she looks incredibly attractive. When Moritz actually goes to see the photographer of the picture, he has no idea that he is about to make a big mistake... Against the backdrop of the floods of 2013, Leipzig author Bettine Reichelt creates an exciting, densely themed and cleverly composed story of love, jealousy and hatred.
