A musical journey of discovery with Arno Lücker in the form of a reading and concert.
Arno Lücker works as a musicologist, music critic, pianist and composer. He works for radio, as a dramaturge and teaches musicology at the Philipps University of Marburg.

Programming learning robots

Location: TIETZ, Central Library, Library Lab
Admission: free of charge, please register.
Target group: recommended for children aged 9 to 12.

In this event, children will learn how to programme and control the Bee-Bot and Dash educational robots. The robots can be tried out in a playful way at various stations.

Let's play - gaming in the library: gaming meets robotics

Play together on our consoles and put the foosball skills of our Dash robots to the test.

Friday, 19 July, 7 to 10 p.m.
Cooperative gaming for adults

Location: TIETZ, Central Library, GamingArena
Admission: free of charge, registration is not required.
Target group: 18 years and older

We present multiplayer games mainly with a co-operative character from the genres of action RPG, beat'em up, shooter and retro games and invite you to play along. PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck as well as our VR glasses Meta Quest will be used. Due to USK regulations, minors will not be admitted to the event.

The hedgehog is animal of the year. We are therefore organising a special gaming event in honour of the fastest hedgehog in the world. Whether you're a huge fan or a newcomer, there's something for everyone in the Sonic universe! Fasten your seatbelts and join Sonic the hedgehog for an exciting afternoon of gaming on our consoles.

On quiet soles... Stories to listen to
read aloud for everyone with pricked ears
Our reading mentors read the latest children's books, classics, "bestsellers" from their own childhood or even texts they have written themselves. Admission is free.
