With captivating clarity and boldness, Anne Rabe tells the story of a generation whose origins are a blank space. Anne Rabe, born in 1986, is a playwright, screenwriter and essayist. Her theatre plays have won several awards. As a screenwriter, she was part of the cult series "Warten auf'n Bus". For several years, she has also appeared as an essayist and lecturer on coming to terms with the past in East Germany. Anne Rabe lives in Berlin.

Love and connection between grandmother, daughter and granddaughter in the shadow of the Second World War. When Juni returns to her deceased grandparents' house on the small Norwegian island, she discovers a photo: it shows her grandmother Tekla as a young woman with a German soldier. Who is the unknown man? Her mother can no longer ask Juni. The relationship between her grandmother and her mother was always overshadowed by something unspoken. The search for the truth leads Juni to Berlin and to the small town of Demmin in eastern Germany, which was overrun by the Russian army after the capitulation. Juni realises that there is much more at stake than a secret love affair. And that her discoveries have consequences for her own happiness.
Trude Teige is one of Norway's best-known authors, TV presenters and journalists. In her novels, she offers a moving insight into unknown pieces of our history and shows how fate also shapes subsequent generations. The novel "Als Großmutter im Regen tanzte" was on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for months and has been translated into many languages. Trude Teige lives with her family on the Oslofjord. An event organised by Chemnitz University Library TU Chemnitz in cooperation with Chemnitz City Library.

- Discussions/tests on dangers and risks when using digital media
- Games about fake news, cookies and password security
- Short presentations on payment methods and the "transparent customer"
- Info table/participate in activities on the topic of "anMachen und abGrenzen" - WHEN does the fun end and does sexualised media violence begin?
- You can also talk to the participants at the information stands.

We will get to know this unique mix of board game, storytelling and improv theatre without much prior knowledge. There are no limits to your imagination when role-playing with pen, paper and dice. Don't be afraid of daunting rules, but good communication is the be-all and end-all here. This can be practised well with lots of small, beginner-friendly role-playing games and other communication games. More experienced people will find like-minded people and can try their hand at one-shot adventures.

(N)achtlos - What is light pollution and what causes it?

Light pollution is an often overlooked, yet significant environmental problem of our time. It affects not only astronomers, but also our health, wildlife and entire ecosystems. The lecture will discuss how the excessive use of artificial light is changing our nocturnal environment and what is problematic about it. It will also show what each individual can do to combat light pollution and thus help themselves and the environment.

"Everything revolves around the Kappler Drehe"
Petra Pansch reads from her novel "Charlottes Volkshaus" Volume 2

Charlotte moves into the Volkshaus with Kurt as a happy bride. A short time later, the two marry and on 29 February, their daughter Ruth is born. What a coincidence, Charlotte and Ruth have their birthdays on the same day. The story continues in Zwickauer Straße and around the Kappler Drehe. Soon the colours of the colourful flags that adorn the Volkshaus and the city of Chemnitz change. Swastika flags must now fly. In 1933, henchmen's boots trample through the Volkshaus. Many things change from one moment to the next and nothing is the way it used to be. The flourishing Chemnitz withers. The new era is characterised by National Socialist rule, fear of war and worries about daily survival.
Petra Pansch, a qualified journalist born in Chemnitz in 1952, worked first for German television in Berlin, then in the press office of the city of Karl-Marx-Stadt and later for the Sächsische Zeitung newspaper in Sebnitz until she left the country in 1984. After leaving the GDR, she worked for the German Press Agency, in the press department of the Koblenz Chamber of Crafts and wrote for various local newspapers in Rhineland-Palatinate. She now lives on the edge of the North Eifel, where she wrote her autobiography and biographical novels about her family.
