City funds further construction and renovation measures in daycare centres with over 350,000 euros from independent providers
Youth welfare committee confirms the administration's proposals
At its regular meeting yesterday, the Youth Welfare Committee again confirmed the draft resolutions submitted by the administration (B-051/2014, B-054/2014, B-055/2014, B-057/2014) on financial grants to independent youth welfare organisations for construction and renovation measures in daycare centres. Grants totalling 352,475 euros were approved.
At its April meeting, the committee had already confirmed grants totalling 785,000 euros for construction and renovation measures in privately-run daycare centres (PM 195 from 9 April 2014 - www.chemnitz.de ). The grants approved yesterday will support construction and refurbishment measures by four independent organisations with funds from the municipal budget and with the help of federal and state subsidies.
The recognised independent youth welfare organisation Volkssolidarität/ Stadtverband Chemnitz e. V. will receive a financial contribution of 70,000 euros in 2014 for the renovation of the last sanitary block in the Sebastian-Bach-Straße 21 day care centre. Of this, 35,000 euros in funding from the state of Saxony is available from the 2013/2014 childcare funding programme. The funding has already been approved.
For the 'heating renovation' of the childcare facility at 299/301 Usti nad Labem Street, the recognised provider of independent youth welfare services Sächsische Sozialakademie gGmbH will receive a financial contribution of 170,000 euros in 2014 for the implementation of the first construction phase.
Of this, 85,000 euros in funding from the state of Saxony is available from the 2013/2014 childcare funding programme. The funding has also already been approved.
The recognised independent youth welfare organisation Kinder-, Jugend- und Familienhilfe e. V. Chemnitz will receive a financial contribution of 40,000 euros in 2014 for the renovation of the fencing at the Weydemeyerstraße 21 daycare centre. The measure serves to fulfil the relevant safety requirements in a day care centre.
In order to improve the conditions of use in the sanitary area of the Fritz-Fritzsche-Straße 57 day care centre, the renovation of a sanitary line will include the renewal of the distributors in the basement of the building, the renovation of the heating lines and specific conversion work. The recognised independent youth welfare organisation Berliner Institut für Kleinkindpädagogik und familienbegleitende Kinderbetreuung e. V. will receive a financial contribution of 72,475 euros for this measure in 2014.
