City fire brigade association receives 5,000 euros

Invitation to the press tour of the historic fire station with cheque presentation on 26 June, 5 p.m.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the special-purpose association "Gasversorgung in Südsachsen", the supplier eins energie is supporting the fire brigades in the region and has handed over a total of EUR 35,000 to the seven fire brigade associations in southern Saxony.

For this reason, representatives of the media are invited to a press tour of the historic fire station 1, Schadestraße 11, 09112 Chemnitz next Monday, 26 June at 5 pm, followed by the handover of the cheque to the Chemnitz City Fire Brigade Association. Other fire brigade associations in the region have also received support in recent months.

Markus Georgi, City Youth Fire Officer of the Chemnitz Fire Brigade, emphasised: "Our youth members of today are the firefighters of tomorrow. Many thanks to eins for this donation. This additional funding will enable us to promote and expand the quality of fire safety education not only among youth firefighters but also during visits to daycare centres and schools. The purchase of a smoke house to illustrate how dangerous fire smoke spreads in a building will definitely help us achieve this."

Steffen Ludwig, Chairman of the special-purpose association "Gasversorgung in Südsachsen" and Mayor of the municipality of Reinsdorf, explains: "As part of our 25th anniversary with currently 117 association members from towns and municipalities in the Erzgebirge, Vogtland, the Chemnitz and Zwickau region and Central Saxony, we have decided to donate EUR 5,000 each to the association.000 euros each through our company eins energie in sachsen for the work of the volunteer fire brigades to the respective district and town fire brigade associations. This will enable us to support the fire brigades in their important work for the region and their work with young talent."

Roland Warner, Managing Director of eins, emphasises: "The fire brigades in South Saxony make an extremely important and indispensable contribution to our region. They protect our homeland, ensure safety and train young people. As a regional company, it is therefore particularly important for us to continue supporting the fire brigades." eins and the fire brigades in South Saxony have enjoyed a close partnership for many years. The energy supplier has already distributed 220 mobile natural gas measuring devices and regularly organises firefighting training courses. Furthermore, eins is supporting more than 120 volunteer fire brigades with free driver safety training at the Sachsenring until 2018.
