City council elects new representatives
With the draft resolution B-272/2014, the procedure for the reappointment of the representatives was newly decided. The legal basis is Section 64 of the Saxon Municipal Code (SächsGemO) in conjunction with Section 25 (1) of the main statutes of the City of Chemnitz. The term of office of the representatives was thus synchronised with the legislative period of the City Council.
The City Council elected the following representatives yesterday:
- Ute Spindler was appointed as Children's Commissioner from 1 January 2015 for the duration of the current electoral term.
- Petra Liebetrau was appointed as Disability Commissioner with effect from 18 December 2014 for the duration of the current electoral term and
- Ms Pia Hamann was appointed Equal Opportunities Officer from 1 January 2015 for the duration of the current electoral term.
