City council elects new members to committees

Advisory member of the City of Chemnitz Youth Welfare Committee
At its meeting yesterday, the committee appointed Holger Bartsch as an advisory member of the Youth Welfare Committee. He succeeds the retired advisory member Andreas Hermsdorf.

New member of the Foreigners' Advisory Council of the City of Chemnitz
The City Council has dismissed Erika Dressel, who was previously an expert member of the Foreigners' Advisory Council. Hamid Omari was newly appointed to the Foreigners' Advisory Council yesterday by the City Council.

Horst Maier was elected as an expert resident on the City of Chemnitz Social Affairs Committee at yesterday's meeting of the City Council.

Chemnitz delegates to the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Association of German Cities
The City of Chemnitz is sending Jürgen Konrad and Dr Christoph Gericke to the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Association of German Cities in Frankfurt/Main from 23 to 25 April 2013. Both councillors were elected by the City Council at its meeting yesterday.
