City council elects Anna Hanisch as head of the city's citizens' office
In the closed part of its meeting yesterday, Chemnitz City Council elected Ms Anna Hanisch (photo) as Head of the City of Chemnitz Citizens' Office. Anna Hanisch, born in 1954, was appointed Acting Head of the Citizens' Office of the City of Chemnitz in 2010 following the retirement of the previous incumbent .
Anna Hanisch holds a degree in industrial engineering and began her career in 1976 as a specialised engineer at VEB Energieversorgung Karl-Marx-Stadt. From 1991, she worked as a clerk, later as a personnel clerk, initially at the Chemnitz District Hospital, Klinikum am Stadtpark and from December 1992 in the Personnel Office of the City of Chemnitz. From 2002 to 2010, she was head of the general administration and lost property department at the city's citizens' office and was also deputy head of the office. Since November 2010, Mrs Hanisch has been the acting head of the Citizens' Office.
Six applications were received in response to the internal administrative advertisement for the position of Head of the Citizens' Office of the City of Chemnitz and were all included in the selection process. Yesterday, Chemnitz City Council followed the administration's proposal and elected Anna Hanisch as Head of the Citizens' Office at the earliest possible date.
