City council decides on new fees for the municipal cemetery
At its meeting today, Chemnitz City Council decided to adjust the fees for the use of the cemeteries managed by the City of Chemnitz.
The adjustment for 2023 is due to the legal change in sales taxation from 1 January 2023, the introduction of a new type of grave, the adjustment of cooling and cremation fees as a result of increased energy prices and the adjustment of fees for communal graves as a result of increased grave monument costs.
For example, the fees for a communal urn grave with a communal monument and maintenance for 20 years will increase from 2540 to 2590 euros and for a tree grave with naming for 20 years from 2292 to 2384 euros.
Partnership graves in a communal urn site are now offered.
Based on this, the business plan for 2023 was also approved, which also takes into account price increases in the energy sector.
