City council decides on further step towards realising the music school concept
Yesterday, Chemnitz City Council approved a package of three draft resolutions on the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. This represents a further step towards implementing the institution's medium-term concept for the years 2013 to 2018. The proposals were agreed with the music school's parents' council
The user statutes of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School (B-079/2015), the fee statutes of the City of Chemnitz for the Chemnitz Municipal Music School (B-081/2015) and the fee schedule of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School (B-082/2015) were adopted.
The focus of music school education lies in particular in the promotion of the general public, individual and/or group lessons, talent promotion, ensemble and orchestral work and the promotion of young talent.
User statutes of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School: The changes include the adaptation of the new basic training programme starting at the beginning of the school year in August 2015 and the introduction of a so-called trial or taster lesson.
Fee regulations of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School: The content includes the inclusion of basic training and a fee for accompaniment for pupils for whom training with a musical accompaniment (accompaniment) is not mandatory as part of the training. The required free accompaniment for students as part of their training remains unchanged. In particular for examinations, competitions and auditions.
Fee regulations of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School: The fee rates for group lessons will be increased and newly included for the basic training to be introduced.
