At its meeting today, the City Council decided to implement the following construction measures with a construction start date of 2017.
Complete refurbishment, after-school care centre at Albert-Köhler-Straße 93
The vacant prefabricated building from the GDR era is to be converted into an after-school care centre for the neighbouring Albert Einstein primary school. A child-friendly, energy-efficient and barrier-free building is being created. To this end, the building will be completely refurbished and an additional storey will be added. The associated outdoor facilities will also be redesigned as part of the construction work. The project totals 3.2 million euros, subsidised with 936,000 euros, and is scheduled for completion in December 2019.
Refurbishment, Usti nad Labem 197 daycare centre street
The building is being brought up to the latest energy standards. To this end, the building envelope will be refurbished, the building services will be renewed and repaired and the outdoor facilities will be partially renovated. The remodelling can only take place after the daycare centre has moved to alternative accommodation. The costs over the entire construction period amount to 1.5 million euros, subsidised with 1.125 million euros from the Saxon Investment Strengthening Act, federal budget. The refurbishment is scheduled for completion in December 2018.
Refurbishment of the sports hall, Georg-Götz-Förderschule
Most of the building components and all of the technical equipment, including fixtures and fittings, date back to 1983, which is why the sports hall is to be refurbished to bring it up to date in terms of energy efficiency and equipment. This includes the renovation of the façade with external insulation, the modernisation and accessibility of the sanitary facilities and the renewal of the basic pipes including the drinking water connection. The construction costs amount to around 941,000 euros, of which 564,000 euros are subsidies from the Saxon Investment Strengthening Act, "Federal Government" budget.
