City council confirms construction decisions with start of construction in 2014

At its meeting yesterday, Chemnitz City Council confirmed the construction resolutions for road construction and civil engineering measures, hydraulic engineering measures and traffic engineering measures with a construction start date of 2014 ( B-262/2013), thereby authorising the administration to carry out the projects. The resolution is subject to the adoption of the budget statutes for 2014 and includes all construction measures with a project volume of €200,000 or more with a construction start date of 2014. The resolution relates to the following construction measures:

Road construction measures

  • Expansion of the Wolgograder Allee/Chemnitzer Straße junction to form a roundabout: total costs 385,000 euros, of which 219,000 euros are subsidies.
  • Additional turning lane between Bergstraße and Hartmannstraße: total costs 218,000 euros, of which 122,400 euros in subsidies.
  • Chemnitztal cycle path, construction section 4.1 between Heinersdorfer Straße and Unterer Hauptstraße in Wittgensdorf: total costs 982,000 euros, of which 631,000 euros in subsidies.
  • Eibenberger Straße between Am Feld and the end of the village: Total costs: 828,000 euros.
  • New construction of the Chemnitz West motorway feeder road between the A 72 federal motorway and Oberfrohnaer Straße: total costs: 2,206,000 euros - the measure is being implemented with subsidies.
  • Stollberger Straße between Neukirchner Straße and the end of the town: total costs 332,500 euros, of which 228,000 euros are subsidised.
  • Frankenberger Straße between Glösaer Straße and Am Schnellen Markt: total costs 364,500 euros, of which 248,250 euros are subsidised.
  • Helbersdorfer Straße between Scheffelstraße and Händelstraße: total costs 276,000 euros, of which 143,400 euros in subsidies.
  • Erdmannsdorfer Straße between Annaberger Straße and the end: total costs 275,000 euros, of which 123,000 euros in subsidies.
  • Heinrich-Lorenz-Straße between Paul-Gruner Straße and Kauffahrtei: total costs 603,500 euros, of which 274,000 euros in subsidies.
  • Upgrading the southern section of Zietenstraße: total costs 231,000 euros, of which 146,060 euros in subsidies.

Engineering structures

  • Replacement of the Haardt bridge over the Pleißenbach: total costs 317,359 euros.
  • Repair of the bridge over the Würschnitz at Klaffenbach moated castle: total costs 376,500 euros.

Hydraulic engineering facilities

  • Flood protection measures Draisdorf, Tel 1 and 2: total costs 482,900 euros, of which 311,250 euros in subsidies.

Industrial estates

  • A decision to carry out construction work on the development of the "Rottluff-West" industrial estate planned from 2014 was already taken in 2008. This decision is also subject to the adoption of the budget statutes for 2014. Total costs: EUR 1,454,200, of which EUR 910,00 is subsidised.
