City Council approves new lease agreement for the Office for Health and Prevention
At its meeting today, the City Council decided to conclude a new lease agreement for the property at Am Rathaus 8, which already houses the Office for Health and Prevention and the traffic control centre, for a further 15 years, starting from July 2026.
After weighing up all the options, which also included a change of location, this is the most economically favourable option.
The associated moderate rent increase is within the current market corridor. In the case of a rental application for other properties, the costs of relocation would be added to the standard market rent.
Around 90 employees currently work in an area of around 2700 square metres. The Office for Health and Prevention has special requirements in the areas of hygiene and infection control, meaning that standard office space cannot be used without further ado.
