Second stage of the tendering process launched
The first stage of the investor selection process for the city centre construction sites E3, car park at Tietz, and E4, car park at Johanniskirche, ended on 31 August 2016 with the submission of indicative offers, i.e. purchase price offers with details of the usage and development concept. Interesting offers were received, including from investors operating throughout Germany who have recognised Chemnitz city centre as an attractive location.
Yesterday evening, the administration and city councillors agreed on which bidders should be invited to participate in the second stage of the tendering process.
In this phase, concrete offers based on a draft purchase agreement, including a presentation of the financing and architecture, are expected.
