Citizens' forum on housing in Chemnitz Centre-West
Citizens' platform Chemnitz Mitte-West invites you on 17 May, 5 pm
Next Wednesday, 17 May 2017, from 5 to 7 pm, the Chemnitz Mitte-West Citizens' Platform invites you to the next Citizens' Forum for the districts of Kaßberg, Schloßchemnitz and Altendorf at the Citizens' Centre, Leipziger Straße 39. The main topic this time will be housing in the centre-west. Lutz Voigt, board member of SWG eG, Frank Winkler, authorised signatory of SWG eG, Katrin Swoboda, team leader of the housing service of CSg eG, and Katja Loße, northern branch manager of GGG mbH, will be available for discussion
The following questions will be explored:
- What developments in the housing stock does the respective housing company see in the short, medium and possibly long term for the city centre-west area?
- How is the company responding to changing needs (housing layouts, accommodation for asylum seekers)?
- Are new builds/renovations planned?
- Are there sufficient flats available that meet the KdU guideline (costs of accommodation for ALG II recipients) of the job centre?
- Which activities in the community and residential environment are supported by the companies (e.g. spring cleaning, district festival, neighbourhood festival, community centre...)?
The Urban Planning Office will present projects from the ERDF/ Stadtumbau Ost programmes. In addition to successfully completed measures and those currently being implemented, current issues affecting residents in Mitte-West will also be discussed.
All interested parties are cordially invited to participate and join in the discussion.
Coordinator and neighbourhood manager Annett Illert will be happy to answer any questions on 0371 33 50 520.
