Citizens' event for the "The city is me" campaign
Lord Mayor presents the communication concept at the Schauspielhaus on 20 May
The communication campaign "The city is me" is intended for the people of Chemnitz. For this reason, Mayor Barbara Ludwig invites you to the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz on Tuesday, 20 May 2014 at 6.30 pm. Together with the managing directors of the Zebra agency, Joerg G. Fieback and Ralf Sippel, she will present the new campaign and its planned activities to interested citizens.
Following the launch of the communication campaign a few weeks ago, the Lord Mayor and the organisers are also hoping for feedback, further ideas and requests from the public. "We launched the campaign as a city together with the Chemnitz agency Zebra and many stakeholders. For it to have a long-term effect, we need the support of the people of Chemnitz," says Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig and hopes for a lively exchange with the guests present. Associations, institutions, city and local councils and advisory boards of the city of Chemnitz are also invited.
For a few days now, posters featuring Chemnitz residents declaring their support for the "I am the city" campaign have adorned the cityscape. At Easter, five creative card motifs with witty and charming questions invited people to send a nice greeting from home. The online dialogue platform www.die-stadt-bin-ich has received 300 confessions since its launch.
Keyword "The city is me"
The people of Chemnitz are at the centre of the new communication concept. They describe their attitude to life, profess the good sides of their city and thus become ambassadors for a strong Chemnitz worth living in. The campaign advertises with the inviting motto "The city is me". This year, people in the city and surrounding area will be addressed first in order to jointly develop what is important for the city's identity and then, next year, to get Chemnitz talking outside the city. The online dialogue platform www.die-stadt-bin-ich.de is at the heart of the campaign.
