Citizens' consultation of the Mayor for Education, Social Affairs, Youth, Culture and Sport will also take place in 2020
In 2020, Ralph Burghart, Mayor for Education, Social Affairs, Youth, Culture and Sport, will once again be offering citizens' consultation hours. The following dates are planned: 29 January, 18 March, 27 May, 22 July, 09 September, 11 November. The consultation hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the customer portal for social services on the ground floor of the Moritzhof Citizens' and Administration Centre, Bahnhofstraße 53. Postponements due to changes in the mayor's schedule cannot be ruled out. These will be announced in good time.
All matters that fall within the mayor's remit can be discussed. Citizens have approx. 15 minutes to present their concerns to Ralph Burghart in person. The corresponding registrations for this will take place on the same day from 3.30 to 5.30 pm, also in the customer portal. Advance bookings are not possible. Citizens who are unable to make an appointment on this day due to a possible rush will be given an appointment as soon as possible.
In April 2019, Ralph Burghart held the first public consultation. "I was pleased to be able to talk to many Chemnitz residents about a wide range of topics during my citizens' consultation hours." Many topics were discussed, from the allocation of indoor swimming pool times and questions about daycare centres and schools to the organisation of cultural events. As the Citizens' Consultation Hour was well received, the mayor is personally keen to make time slots available for individual discussions with the people of Chemnitz in 2020 as well.
