Citizen information: Information on property taxes due in 2014
The City of Chemnitz Tax and Revenue Office asks citizens liable for property tax to note that the most recent property tax assessment notice remains valid until it is replaced by a new notice.
The property tax is therefore due with the quarterly amount specified in the last property tax assessment notice sent on 15 February, 15 May, 15 August and 15 November or as an annual amount on 15 August if this does not exceed 15 euros or as an annual amount on 1 July if the taxpayer's application was submitted by 30 September of the previous year.
Property tax payers are requested to continue to transfer or pay the property tax for 2014 to one of the bank accounts of the City of Chemnitz or to make use of the SEPA direct debit procedure by the above-mentioned due dates and with the amounts resulting from the notice sent for the 2013 calendar year or the last notice sent.
