Christopher Street Day on 29 July
The 11th Christopher Street Day will take place in Chemnitz on Saturday 29 July from 12 noon. This year's patrons of the event are the Minister of State for Justice, Democracy, Europe and Equality, Katja Meier, and Lord Mayor Sven Schulze. Mayor Ralph Burghart will give a welcome address on the stage at the CSD street festival in Stadthallenpark at 2 pm.
This will be preceded by a demonstration through the city centre, starting at 12 noon at Brühl. No major traffic restrictions are planned, but operational road closures by the police are to be expected at short notice.
