Christmas tree will be delivered and set up on Saturday
This year's Christmas tree will be cut down by employees of Techno-Farm und Service GmbH on Saturday, 7 November, at around 8 a.m. and made ready for transport on a low-loader for the journey of several hours. It is expected to arrive at the market in the late afternoon.
The usual supporting programme for the arrival of the Christmas tree cannot take place due to the current Corona Protection Ordinance.
The spruce, which is around 20 metres tall and around 40 to 50 years old and will be on the market at Christmas, was found in the Wildenthal forest district of the Sachsenforst state enterprise in Eibenstock.
The three metre deep ground socket into which the tree disappears leaves around 17 metres visible.
