Christmas peace
This year, the City of Chemnitz will once again ensure that no actions are taken during the Christmas period and at the turn of the year that are considered inappropriate at this time. As in previous years, there is a so-called Christmas truce.
In the period from 22 December 2014 to 2 January 2015, there will therefore be no reminders or enforcement of outstanding debts, according to Chemnitz City Treasurer Berthold Brehm. Exceptions are only made if the statute of limitations and thus the final cancellation of the outstanding payment would be imminent.
