Christmas at the zoo and wildlife park
Free admission on Christmas Eve for children up to the age of 16
On Saturday, 24 December, all children up to the age of 16 will receive free admission to the zoo and the game enclosure. There will also be a small treat while stocks last. However, access to the facilities is only possible when accompanied by an adult. In this way, the zoo team hopes to shorten the children's wait for presents on Christmas Eve.
A visit to the facilities is also worthwhile on gloomy winter days. In the zoo, the warm tropical house with its colourful animal world is particularly appealing, while long walks are possible in the game enclosure.
The zoo on Nevoigtstraße and the wildlife park in Oberrabenstein are open on 24 and 31 December from 9 am to 2 pm, with last admission at 1 pm.
On all other days (including public holidays), both facilities can be visited during normal winter opening hours: Tierpark 9am to 4pm, last admission 3pm and Wildgatter 8am to 4pm, last admission 3pm.
