Children's jury of the SCHLINGEL film festival is welcomed

Invitation to the photo session: on 27 September, 1 p.m., in the town hall, Grüner Salon

On Wednesday, 27 September at 1 pm, Mayor Knut Kunze will welcome the children's jury of the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival in the Green Salon of the Town Hall.

After the official welcome, the young guests from seven different countries are invited to a children's buffet and informal discussions. A tour guide will then show them around the town hall and the High Tower.

Media representatives are cordially invited to attend.

This year, the 14 members of the children's jury, aged between eleven and twelve, come from Austria, Poland, Sweden, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany. The working language of the jury is German, as all the children are sent by German schools or organisations that promote the German mother tongue.

From Sunday to Thursday, 24 to 28 September, the children will watch the films on which they will then decide. After about ten film viewings and the corresponding discussion rounds, they will select the best European children's film.

The prize is awarded by the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism and will be presented by Mayor Sven Schulze on Saturday, 30 September.
