Children's fire brigade "Löschfrösche" Stelzendorf is founded
On Sunday, 16 June 2019, the "Löschfrösche" children's fire brigade will be founded at the Stelzendorf summer festival. The event starts at 2 p.m. in the marquee on the Stelzendorf sports field (Grüner Weg)
The children's fire brigade, which forms an independent department within the Stelzendorf volunteer fire brigade, aims to introduce children to fire safety issues in a playful way.
Mayor Sven Schulze: "The children in the children's fire brigade should be given space to discover, learn and develop themselves, while at the same time being taught values such as friendship, camaraderie, voluntary commitment and teamwork."
The children's fire brigade is open to children from the age of five. Accompanied by two educational specialists, the youth warden and six comrades from the Stelzendorf volunteer fire brigade, they are introduced to the topics of fire safety and road safety education in an age-appropriate way through games and sports, painting, handicrafts and artistic design.
This makes the Stelzendorf volunteer fire brigade the second fire brigade after the Euba volunteer fire brigade to have its own children's fire brigade.
