Children's festival in Küchwald

Civil engineering office gives traffic recommendation

Next Sunday, 5 June 2016, all children big and small are invited to the 20th Children's Festival on the Küchwaldwiese. There are once again five activity areas that promise a very enjoyable day. Clubs and organisations will help with their offers: Games, creative design, sports, hands-on police and fire brigade and a colourful stage programme.

To safeguard the children's festival, road users and visitors to the festival are asked to observe the necessary one-way streets in the immediate vicinity of the festival meadow from 8 am to 7 pm. Specifically, Küchwaldring from Hechlerstraße to Küchwaldstraße, Küchwaldstraße from Küchwaldring to Salzstraße and Ludwigstraße from Küchwaldstraße to Hechlerstraße will be one-way streets on this day from 8 am to 7 pm. The residential streets Dorotheenstraße, Altendorfer Straße, Glauchauer Straße and Küchwaldring will be closed. Access for residents will be guaranteed. The organiser is expecting an increased number of visitors, especially in the afternoon hours.

Visitors to the children's festival travelling by car should bear in mind that there is only limited parking available in the immediate vicinity. The car park on Leipziger Straße (landward) at Gottfried-Keller-Straße has a direct connection to Küchwaldring and should be used as a parking option.

Furthermore, city centre car parks and public transport services (line 21 CVAG, line 254 Regionalverkehr Erzgebirge) should be used.
