Children's festival at the zoo tomorrow, Saturday 3 October
The zoo is once again holding its traditional children's festival tomorrow, Saturday 3 October. The event will take place from 10 am to 5 pm, and the zoo will be open again from 9 am to 7 pm on the same day. The weather promises a beautiful sunny autumn day, with lots to see and experience - a good reason to visit the zoo again.
The theme of this year's festival is: Little explorers - big adventures.
There will be a programme on stage from 1 p.m., including a hands-on magic show, animal songs, dance show, animal quiz, animal games and interviews. There will be activity stands for children throughout the zoo where they can earn a "researcher's diploma".
Bouncy castle, carousel, archery, fun and games invite children to romp around and face painting, information and craft stands invite them to linger. At 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. there will be a guided tour of the special features of the zoo's inhabitants (limited number of participants), and of course there will be plenty to eat and drink.
