Children's festival at Chemnitz Zoo on 3 October
The zoo is once again holding its traditional children's festival on 3 October 2017, from 10 am to 5 pm. The zoo will be open on this day and the weekend before from 9 am to 7 pm.
The theme of this year's festival is "A crocodile to kiss". From 10 a.m. there will be a stage programme with a rainforest quiz, activities, puzzles, interviews, music, Fridolin the clown, Happy Legs, hands-on magic and forest sounds.
Also on the meadow, a bouncy castle, children's carousel, craft and colouring stands, Radio Chemnitz stage, Nabu, BUND and Sachsenforst stands as well as the volunteer fire brigade invite visitors to join in and find out more. Food and drink will be provided.
Children's activity stands for the "crocodile passport", archery, face painting and much more can be found throughout the zoo grounds. The zoo's sponsoring organisation, Tierparkfreunde Chemnitz e.V., will also be represented.
Those interested can also take a look behind the scenes at the tropical house (10.45 am) and at the hoofed animals (1 pm). Please book in advance (at the stage) as the number of participants is limited.

9 a.m. to 7 p.m., last admission 6 p.m.
From 4 October the following opening hours apply:
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., last admission until 4 p.m.
