Children's consultation hours on ideas for the future

Children and youth representative visits facilities and presents small prize

On Monday, 3 April, Ute Spindler, the City of Chemnitz's Children and Youth Representative, will once again be visiting daycare centres in the city. She will be visiting the "Krabbelkäfer" day-care centre at Reichenhainer Straße 33 a from 9 am and the day-care centre at Schloßstraße, Schloßstraße 29, from 11 am. Ute Spindler will collect ideas for the future from the children and present them with a small thank-you gift for participating in the craft activity of the same name.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.

In the "Ideas for the Future" arts and crafts campaign, initiated by the Local Alliance for Families in Chemnitz (LOBÜC), children throughout the city were invited to draw their thoughts on the topic of "Growing up well". From career aspirations and play streets to ideas for nature and sport, the kindergarten children show their wishes and joint activities for the citizens of Chemnitz. The pictures often adorn the fences of the facilities.

On Monday, the girls and boys of the "Spielhaus" day care centre, Ludwigstraße 12, and the "Kikkif@x" media kindergarten, Am Laubengang 15, will also receive a visit. The small prize is flower seeds, so that the children can approach the topic of "protecting wild bees" in a playful way in the coming warmer months.

The children's consultation hours are organised by the Local Alliance for Families in Chemnitz and run by the Children and Youth Officer in collaboration with the campaign partners UNICEF and the Family Service of Chemnitz University of Technology. Ute Spindler: "Together with all of LOBÜC's cooperation partners, the Workers' Welfare Association, the City Sports Association, the Chamber of Industry and Crafts, Chemnitz University of Technology and solaris GmbH as the 'Prevention for a family-friendly Chemnitz' network, we want to promote the diverse ideas of children."
