Children decorate trees at the Christmas market
Photo opportunity: Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig accompanies the children as they decorate - on 2 December, 9.45 am, meeting point in the foyer of the town hall
Next week, from 2 to 8 December, children from 18 kindergartens will be decorating Christmas trees at the Chemnitz Christmas market for the first time.
On Monday, 2 December, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig will accompany the children from one of the kindergartens as they decorate the trees. Representatives of the media are invited to a photo opportunity. The meeting point is 9.45 am in the foyer of the town hall.
Children from two other kindergartens will be decorating trees at the Christmas market on Monday. On Tuesday, children from six kindergartens have announced their participation, on Wednesday from four, on Thursday from three and on Friday from two kindergartens.
The children bring their lovingly crafted Christmas decorations and then decorate a Christmas tree with them. With this special experience in the run-up to Christmas, they want to take part in the organisation of the Christmas market and bring joy to the many visitors to the Christmas market.
