Children and young people receive free admission to the Museum of Natural History Chemnitz
From 1 May 2013, admission to the Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz in the TIETZ building will be free for children and young people as well as school pupils up to the age of 18.
The resolution (B-044/2013) passed by the City Council at its meeting yesterday is based on positive experiences from a pilot project organised by Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Schloßbergmuseum and Industriemuseum Chemnitz. Free admission for children, young people and schoolchildren has already been introduced at these institutions.
Yesterday's decision also harmonises and standardises the fee structure of the Chemnitz museums in a central point.
