Child and youth emergency service locations are opened
Invitation: on 20 October, 2 p.m., Reichenhainer Straße 85
On Friday, 20 October, from 2 p.m., Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky and the Managing Director of SFZ Förderzentrum gGmbH, Axel Brückom, will inaugurate the two new homes of the City of Chemnitz's emergency services for children and young people. The opening ceremony for invited guests will take place at the property at Reichenhainer Straße 85, but will also be held at the second location at Chopinstraße 2 in the Kappel district.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited.
The construction of the two new shelters was preceded by joint deliberations between the City of Chemnitz, the provider SFZ Förderzentrum gGmbH and the Youth Welfare Committee with the aim of decentralising the emergency child and youth services and building two modern, inclusive facilities.
After the welcoming speeches, there will be an opportunity to talk to representatives of the City of Chemnitz, the Youth Welfare Committee, the client and the organisation responsible for the two future facilities and to view the finished rooms. Susann Rüthrich, the Children and Youth Commissioner of the Free State of Saxony, and Ute Spindler, the City of Chemnitz, as well as Petra Liebetrau, the City of Chemnitz Commissioner for the Disabled, will also be on site.
The new locations of the child and youth emergency service will go into operation in November.
