Chemnitz2025 presents itself in Brussels

The three Saxon candidate cities present themselves at the New Year's reception of the Free State of Saxony in Brussels

Mayor Barbara Ludwig travels to Brussels with cultural stakeholders from Chemnitz, where all three Saxon candidate cities will present themselves on 6 February at the invitation of the Free State of Saxony. At a joint reception, Chemnitz, Dresden and Zittau will join forces to showcase Saxony's cultural diversity and potential - each candidate city in its own way, of course.

Chemnitz presents itself in an entertaining and interactive way. After a short project presentation by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Jan Kummer and Beate Düber invite you to a round of BINGO. And anyone who has ever experienced this knows that Chemnitz cult is being celebrated. They will be joined by BLOND, whose stage show and sound will make it clear once and for all: This Chemnitz - it's obviously a colourful, good-humoured, exciting place.

In addition, Chemnitz illustrator Stephanie Brittnacher will document the entire evening with live drawings, which guests will be able to follow via a monitor on stage. This will ultimately result in a video documentation of an artistic kind.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig is also using her stay in Brussels to visit the EUROCITIES city network. She will meet with the Secretary General, Anna Lisa Boni. Also on the agenda is the planned EUROCITIES Cultural Forum with cultural players from all over Europe, which is being organised in Chemnitz in April.
