Chemnitz Zoo: Shorter opening hours at Christmas and New Year's Eve
Free admission on Christmas Eve for children up to the age of 16
The wildlife park in Oberrabenstein and the outdoor areas of the zoo are currently two of the few leisure destinations that are open and can be visited with proof of 3G and contact details.
To make the wait for Christmas Eve a little shorter, on Friday, 24 December, all children up to the age of 16 will have free admission to the zoo and the Oberrabenstein Wildlife Park. There will also be a small treat while stocks last. However, access to the facilities is only possible when accompanied by an adult. In this way, the zoo team hopes to offer a conciliatory end to an exhausting year that has demanded a lot from young and old alike.
The zoo on Nevoigtstraße and the wildlife enclosure in Oberrabenstein are open on 24 and 31 December from 9 am to 2 pm, with last admission to the zoo at 1 pm.
On all other public holidays, both facilities can be visited during normal winter opening hours: Tierpark 9am to 4pm, last admission 3pm and Wildgatter 8am to 4pm, last admission 3pm.
The corona-related restrictions apply to admission.
