Chemnitz sports club receives funding

On Thursday, 6 June at 3.30 pm, SSV Textima Chemnitz e. V. will receive a grant from the Free State of Saxony in the amount of 685,000 euros. The Head of the Sports Department at the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior, Andreas Schumann, will present the notification to the club on the club grounds at Sportlerweg 15 - also in the presence of Roger Rabenhold, Head of the City of Chemnitz Sports Department. The City of Chemnitz will contribute a further 716,000 euros in sports funding.
Representatives of the media are invited to the handover.
The funding will go towards the construction of a new functional building. The existing functional building, which has been extended several times and supplemented with a rented toilet facility, must be demolished. It has considerable cracks in the brickwork and does not meet today's requirements in any way. Renovation is not possible.
SSV Textima Chemnitz e. V. is acting as the client for this project, which will cost around 1.56 million euros in total. The multi-sports club has 278 members, including 127 children and young people. Five sports are offered. With 184 members, the football section has the largest number of members and the best performance. A large grass pitch is available for this in the Erfenschlag district.
