Chemnitz Social Welfare Office provides information on services for senior citizens

At the end of this week, the "Information Letter 80+" will once again be sent to all Chemnitz residents who have reached the age of 80 by 23 April 2018. Last year, the City of Chemnitz Social Services Department sent an information letter about the services provided by the municipal social services for senior citizens to all Chemnitz residents aged 80 and over for the first time. This met with a very positive response.

Most people want to live at home for as long as possible. To ensure that this is possible when support is needed in their own four walls, professional social workers offer senior citizens and their relatives free and independent assistance. From A for everyday help to Z for living at home, information is available on services as well as support with applications and organisations of service providers.

It is expressly pointed out that the employees identify themselves with a service card and do not appear unannounced for home visits. If an information letter is required, even if the person has not yet reached the age of 80, this can be requested by telephone or email from the Senior Citizens' Social Service.

The Senior Citizens' Social Service provides advice on all topics relating to old age by telephone on 488 5555, by email at senioren.behindertenhilfe(at)stadt-chemnitz.desenioren.behindertenhilfe(at)stadt-chemnitz.deor in person at the Moritzhof Citizens' Administration Centre, Bahnhofstr. 53 in 09111 Chemnitz.
