Chemnitz residents design exhibition on Karl Marx
Call for the submission of objects, books, certificates, medals, etc.
As part of the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth on 5 May 2018, the city of Chemnitz is calling on the people of Chemnitz to send in objects that have a connection to Karl Marx by 29 March 2018. In this way, the citizens of the city that bore the name Karl Marx City for 37 years can show that they still have a connection to Marx today.
The entries will then be displayed as part of an exhibition on Chemnitz Museum Night. For example, old Marxism-Leninism textbooks, medals from sports competitions, certificates, so-called wall newspapers and other memorabilia relating to Karl Marx can be submitted. All submissions will be treated with care and returned after the end of the exhibition.
