Chemnitz Literature Days LESELUST for the city anniversary 875 years Chemnitz - Call for participation - feedback until 10 January
Chemnitz residents are invited to take part in "Chemnitz reads Heym".
On Tuesday, 10 April 2018. On Tuesday, 10 April 2018, in many public places and unusual locations in Chemnitz - on the market, in the tram, in the counter of the health insurance company, in schools, libraries and bookshops - texts by Stefan Heym will be read. texts by Stefan Heym will be read by Chemnitz residents of all ages, schoolchildren, students, artists and celebrities to commemorate the world-class writer and honorary citizen of our city.
The event will take place as part of the Chemnitz Literature Days LESELUST from 5 to 28 April 2018 and is part of the Chemnitz City History project(www.chemnitzer-stadtgeschichten.de) to mark the city's 875th anniversary.

To mark the 105th anniversary of Stefan Heym's birth, the International Stefan Heym Society and the City Library are jointly organising a new edition of the literary spectacle "Chemnitz reads Heym", which was a great success in 2013.
The readings are intended to arouse the interest of the people of Chemnitz and encourage them to engage with Heym's multifaceted work. The aim is to create an interesting, diverse reading programme for all age groups, from fairy tales and political poems to historical novels.
A coordinating consultation will take place with all interested parties at the TIETZ on 31 January 2018 at 5 pm. You will receive a personal invitation once you have registered.
