Chemnitz Museum Night postponed to 17 October

The 21st Chemnitz Museum Night of Industrial Culture has been postponed from 10 to 17 October 2020 for scheduling reasons.

For the Museum Night on 17 October 2020, Chemnitz museums, collections, galleries and institutions will be organising a multifaceted programme of exhibitions and activities for the first time together with museum institutions in the Chemnitz cultural region. The framework is provided by the Year of Industrial Culture 2020 in Saxony and the 4th Saxon State Exhibition "Boom. 500 Years of Industrial Culture in Saxony". The venues for the state exhibition are: MaschinenBoom. Chemnitz Industrial Museum, Railway Boom. Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf and Schauplatz KohleBoom. Mining Museum Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge.

Shuttle service: In addition to the regular CVAG and VMS bus and train services, the participating museums and institutions can also be reached by shuttle bus and train.

Tickets: Museum Night tickets for 10 euros, reduced 5 euros are also valid as travel tickets. Admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 18. Regulations on discounts and transport conditions will be announced when the programme is published.

Advance booking: from 28 September at the CVAG Mobility Centre, at the Tourist Information Office and at the participating museums and institutions during opening hours.
