Chemnitz' most beautiful allotment garden site is chosen
Invitation to the award ceremony: 20 November, 5 p.m., City Council Chamber
On Monday 20 November at 5 pm, the winner of the 3rd Chemnitz allotment garden competition will be announced during an award ceremony in the city council chamber of the town hall. The winner will be honoured with the title "Most beautiful Chemnitz allotment garden site 2023".
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend. Following the official part and the champagne reception, there will be an opportunity to talk to the award winners from around 6 pm.
The city of Chemnitz organised the 3rd Chemnitz allotment garden competition together with the Chemnitz allotment gardeners' association and the Chemnitz/Land allotment gardeners' association. The motto of the competition was "Allotment gardens - for a good climate in our city". It was aimed at all allotment garden associations in the city of Chemnitz who wanted to publicise their achievements and present them to a jury of experts.
This competition is intended to provide an additional incentive for the innovative and sustainable development of Chemnitz's allotment garden sites. Furthermore, the voluntary commitment of the allotment gardeners and their organisations, who are committed to a sustainable allotment garden system as part of the green and open space system of the city and its people, is to be honoured.
