"CHEMNITZ, MON AMOUR? What I always wanted to tell"

Arna Aley's consultation hours - on 8 and 15 February, from 1 to 5 pm, in the Stefan Heym Forum at the TIETZ

The City of Chemnitz literature scholarship holder, Arna Aley, invites interested parties to a consultation on Wednesday, 8 and 15 February, from 1 to 5 p.m., under the motto "CHEMNITZ, MON AMOUR? What I always wanted to tell" at the Stefan Heym Forum in the TIETZ.

The native Lithuanian not only wants to write about Chemnitz, she also wants to encourage the people of Chemnitz to do so themselves. "With my project 'Lauschangriffe. Mobile Soundstories', I want to encourage the urban community of Chemnitz to tell their own - real or invented - stories that relate to an 'object', be it a neighbouring city, a building or a place in Chemnitz. The 'storytelling' can take different forms - singing, dancing, writing, designing, remaining silent, photographing, composing," says Arna Aley.

Arna Aley has been a literature scholarship holder of the City of Chemnitz since the beginning of October. Her stay in Chemnitz comes to an end at the end of March. Until then, she will be presenting herself and her texts, some of which were written in Chemnitz, to the public in several public readings. A good opportunity to get to know the author, translator and director in person.
