On Wednesday, 29 January, from 6 to 8.15 p.m., interested parties are invited to a lecture on the origins of the Chemnitz hydrogen region and current research and developments at the adult education centre in the TIETZ, course room 4.07. The lecture is free of charge.

The lecture is dedicated to the use of hydrogen and fuel cells in the mobility of the future and their role in the energy transition. In the Chemnitz region, various research and practical institutions have joined forces to form a hydrogen centre and an innovation network.
Michelle Vinke, Head of Knowledge and Technology Transfer at HZwo e. V., will provide insights into the entire hydrogen value chain and its significance for the Chemnitz region. She will present the activities of HZwo e. V. and the role of the Hydrogen Innovation Centre (HIC), which is regarded as a key project for technological innovation in the region and will be built on the Reichenhainer Straße campus.
In addition to a fuel cell system construction kit and a fuel cell explosion model, an open source stack and the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will also be presented. After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to talk directly to the speaker in a Q&A session.
The event is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament.
