Chemnitz Guitar Days 2024
Municipal Music School: Opening concert on 28 July, 3 p.m. - Workshops from 29 July to 2 August - Closing concert on 3 August, 3 p.m.
From Sunday, 28 July to Saturday, 3 August, the Chemnitz Guitar Days 2024 will take place at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Anyone interested is invited to listen and take part. The Association of Friends and Supporters of the Municipal Music School and the Municipal Music School are thus jointly inviting you to the opening of the new 2024/25 teaching year.
The opening concert of the Guitar Days begins on Sunday, 28 July at 3 p.m. in the concert hall of the Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstraße 1, with music by Jean Ph. Rameau, Mauro Giuliani, César Franck and Napoleon Coste, played by Philippe Villa and Anastasia Maximkina-Villa from France. Admission is free of charge.
Philippe Villa and Anastasia Maximkina-Villa are the instructors of the masterclasses for solo guitar and guitar duo taking place daily in the mornings from 29 July to 2 August.
The number of participants is limited to ensure individuality. A few registrations are still possible at musikschule(at)stadt-chemnitz.de
At the same time, the guitar orchestra workshop will take place from 29 July to 2 August, daily from 4 to 6 pm. The focus here is on making music together, and the literature played is adapted to this aim. You can always register to try it out at musikschule(at)stadt-chemnitz.de. Those interested can also simply drop by.
The final concert will take place on Saturday, 3 August at 3 pm . The results of the workshops will be presented to the public. Admission is also free of charge.
