Chemnitz Cycling Days: Traffic restrictions next Friday and Saturday
Next Friday and Saturday, 4 and 5 September 2015, the Chemnitz Cycling Club (RSV Chemnitz e.V.) is organising two different cycling events, "Around the Town Hall" and "Around the Market Hall", in the city centre. There will be traffic restrictions along the route.
"Around the Town Hall" on Friday, 4 September:
From 19.30 to approx. 22.00, various classifications will take place on the circuit.
Route:
Neumarkt - Richard - Möbius-Straße - Am Wall - Webergasse - Jakobikirchplatz - Innere Klosterstraße - Markt
The start and finish are on Neumarkt near the town hall.
The route will be secured with barriers. For safety reasons, please only use the designated crossings.
"Around the market hall" on Saturday, 5 September:
From 12.00 to approx. 17.00, various classifications will take place on the circuit.
Route:
Fabrikstraße - Bierbrücke - An der Markthalle - Hartmannstraße
The start and finish are on Fabrikstraße near the Richard-Hartmann-Sporthalle.
To secure the route, Fabrikstraße, An der Markthalle and Bierbrücke will be fully closed from 11.00 to 18.00. During this time, Hartmannstraße between Am Alten Bad and Promenadenstraße will be converted into a one-way street (in the direction of Leipziger Straße).
A diversion is possible via Reichsstraße - Weststraße - Theaterstraße or Hartmannstraße - Promenadenstraße - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße.
For safety reasons, residents and businesses must ensure that they can only drive out of the closed areas during race breaks.
The organiser will provide sufficient parking facilities on Hartmannplatz for residents and neighbours in the closed areas. Please follow the instructions of the stewards.
Visitors to the events are requested to use the city centre car parks or the public transport services.
CVAG will announce any changes to bus and train services separately.
