Chemnitz Cycling Days on 2 and 3 September
Traffic restrictions for the cycling events "Around the Town Hall" on 2 September and "Around the market hall" on 3 September 2016
On 2 and 3 September 2016, the RSV Chemnitz e.V. (Chemnitz Cycling Club) is organising two different cycling events: "Around the Town Hall" and "Around the Market Hall".
"Around the town hall" on 2 September 2016
From 6 p.m. to approx. 10 p.m., various classifications will take place on the circuit:
Route:
Neumarkt - Richard - Möbius-Straße - Am Wall - Webergasse - Jakobikirchplatz - Innere Klosterstraße - Markt
The start and finish will take place at Neumarkt near the town hall.
The route will be secured with massive barriers. For safety reasons, only the designated crossing points are to be used.
"Around the market hall" on 3 September 2016
From 12 noon to approx. 5 p.m., various competitions will take place on the circuit.
Route:
Fabrikstraße - Bierbrücke - An der Markthalle - Hartmannstraße
The start and finish will take place on Fabrikstraße near the Richard Hartmann sports hall.
To secure the route, Fabrikstraße, An der Markthalle and Bierbrücke will be fully closed on 3 September 2016 from 11 am to 6 pm.
During this time, Hartmannstraße between Am Alten Bad and Promenadenstraße will be converted into a one-way street (in the direction of Leipziger Straße).
A diversion is possible via Reichsstraße - Weststraße - Theaterstraße or Hartmannstraße - Promenadenstraße - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße.
For safety reasons,residents and businesses must ensure that they can only drive out of the closed areas during the race breaks.
For residents and neighbours in the closed areas, the organiser will provide sufficient parking spaces on Hartmannplatz. Please follow the instructions of the stewards.
Visitors to the events are advised to use the city centre car parks or public transport services.
CVAG will announce any changes to bus and train services separately.
