Chemnitz city treasurer conveys the city's congratulations on the occasion of Düsseldorf's 725th anniversary
On the occasion of the city's 725th anniversary in Düsseldorf, Chemnitz City Treasurer Berthold Brehm, representing the Lord Mayor, brings greetings and congratulations from the City of Chemnitz to the North Rhine-Westphalian twin city. Berthold Brehm will be accompanied to the celebrations on 6 and 7 September 2013 by the Chemnitz Türmer Stefan Weber.
The representatives of the City of Chemnitz have accepted the invitation of Düsseldorf's Lord Mayor Dirk Elbers to attend the official ceremony to mark the city's anniversary on Friday, 6 September in the Tonhalle Düsseldorf.
City Treasurer Berthold Brehm will bring a piece of the Petrified Forest from Chemnitz to Düsseldorf as a gift. Dressed in historical garb, Türmer Weber will bring traditional rhyming greetings and thus a piece of Chemnitz's city history to the metropolis on the Rhine.

The Saxon city of Chemnitz and the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf have been twinned since 1988.
