Chemnitz City Library offers a free delivery service for all Chemnitz residents who are no longer able to visit the library themselves due to old age or limited mobility. Volunteer library messengers bring media directly to readers' homes once a month.
The service is offered free of charge for people aged 80 and over and/or with a recognised degree of care or medical certificate (even with a time limit).
Books, audio books, music CDs, DVDs, magazines, games and sheet music can be borrowed. The selection is made on request or with personal advice. It is also possible to register at home.
