Chemnitz celebrates Europe Week digitally this year

Creative offers for the cohesion of Europe

As the week of activities planned throughout Germany around Europe Day cannot take place as usual in the current situation, the organisations and associations in Chemnitz have come up with a variety of online offers. For example, solaris - Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen (solaris FZU) is inviting young people aged 16 to 30 to the live session "Europe to GO" on Europe Day. The Kinderfilmhaus has uploaded films to the Chemnitz City Library's streaming portal filmfriend. Under the motto "Discover Europe", knowledge can be tested, played, painted and puzzled over in the digital room of the Deutsches SPIELEmuseum.

On Saturday, 9 May, the EUROPE DIRECT Information Centres Saxony will be hosting a EUROPA QUIZ ONLINE - Saxony Edition from 7 pm.

The events planned jointly by the EU Office of the City of Chemnitz and many other partners to sing the European anthem and the European Neighbourhood Festival on 9 May 2020 will unfortunately have to be cancelled or postponed if necessary.

All online offers are listed at www.chemnitz.de/europa
