Chemnitz beer for the 2013 city festival

Chemnitz beer will be served at the Chemnitz City Festival this year: the local breweries Braustolz and Einsiedler have the exclusive right to serve beer. In return, they will support the 2013 city festival financially. The corresponding contracts have been concluded.

"I am delighted that the common goal has been achieved this year and that Chemnitz beer will finally be served at our city festival," says Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig.

"We are delighted that the agreement has been reached and that we are represented at an event that is as close to our hearts as it is to the people of Chemnitz. We are convinced that the guests of the city festival will appreciate the local beer and also get an impression of our brewing tradition with the variety of types," said the representatives of the two breweries, Stefan Bittner, Managing Director of Braustolz GmbH, and Markus Grüsser, Managing Director of Marketing and Sales at Einsiedler Brauhaus.

The CWE, which organises the city festival, and the breweries also agreed on joint advertising for the festival. The strong networking of the Chemnitz breweries with local associations and institutions is intended to achieve greater involvement in the event. "This is a good basis for the further planning and promotion of the 2013 city festival," said CWE Managing Director Ulrich Geissler. Details of the schedule and programme will be presented in the spring.
